Smithfield Foods, Inc. is hiring a Local CDL-A Driver for Tar Heel, NC. You’ll operate late-model Freightliner tractors, haul 53’ reefer trailers, and be dispatched to plants, distribution centers, and customer sites.

Qualifications

• 1-year CDL Class A driving experience required.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate a commercial motor vehicle (CMV) in DOT and company compliance.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and complete DVIRs daily.
• Maintain Hours of Service logs via ELD or paper logs when required.
• Report accidents, citations, and equipment defects promptly.
• Participate in driver safety meetings and required training.
