Job summary

Cameron Ashley Building Products is seeking a reliable Class A CDL driver for local delivery routes around our distribution center. Expect daily home time, competitive hourly pay, and a solid benefits package.

The role centers on delivering materials safely and accurately to customers with a courteous, professional attitude. Ideal candidates have a valid Class A CDL, a clean driving record, and at least 3 years of similar driving experience.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL required.
• Must meet DOT qualification standards including drug screen and Med Card.
• Must have an acceptable driving record with no major violations in the past 3 years.
• Minimum of 3 years of similar driving experience within the last 5 years.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Employment is contingent upon passing a DOT drug and alcohol test, motor vehicle record check, and criminal background screening consistent with applicable law and company policy.

Responsibilities

• Drive flatbed trucks and curtain-side trailers to deliver products on local routes.
• Operate semi-truck and other non-CDL trucks in compliance with state and federal laws.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and maintain safety.
• Secure cargo properly to prevent damage in transit.
• Maintain and submit invoices, bills of lading, and shipping paperwork.
