Job summary

Carlile Transportation is seeking a Local Driver in Fairbanks, AK to perform freight pickups and deliveries. You will operate trucks safely under HSSE policies, inspect equipment, and maintain logs.

The role includes loading/unloading duties, securing cargo, and preparing bills of lading while maintaining strong customer service and teamwork. Qualifications include a Class A CDL with HAZMAT endorsement within 90 days and 1–3 years of safe driving experience.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for freight transport by pickups and deliveries.
• Operate safely and in compliance with HSSE policies and procedures.
• Inspect trucks and trailers and submit condition reports.
• Maintain driver e-logs and e-maintenance logs when outside 150 air miles.
• Make customer pickups reflecting superior customer service.
• Secure cargo for transport and prepare bills of lading.
• May perform dock work and loading/unloading as needed.
• Perform basic vehicle maintenance and assist with emergency roadside repairs.
