Job summary

Vistar in Budd Lake, NJ seeks CDL-A Delivery Driver to operate tractor-trailer or straight truck for intrastate/interstate routes, with local and overnight shifts. Responsible for safe, timely delivery while maintaining customer relations and DOT compliance.

Starting pay rate is $30/hr with a $12,000 sign-on bonus. Benefits Day 1 include health, wellness, 401(k) matching, and education assistance. Local routes only, no layovers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 6 months to 1 year commercial driving experience.
• Foodservice distribution industry experience.
• Onboard computer and electronic log system experience (PeopleNet).
• Hand-held pallet or POD scanning system experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform safety checks (pre/post trip) per DOT regulations.
• Follow DOT and company safety guidelines and policies.
• Inspect trailer and verify proper load and paperwork.
• Ensure proper security of tractor, trailer, and freight.
• Maintain daily records and hours of service compliance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
