Job summary

Gordon Food Service in Avondale, PA is hiring a Local CDL A Delivery Driver to support our restaurant and institutional customers. You will run local routes, start before dawn, be home daily, and load/unload as needed.

Local CDL A Delivery Driver

Location: 944 Penn Green Road, Avondale, PA
Schedule: 5 day work week between Monday-Friday. Start time 3 AM-5 AM until route finish! Optional work on Saturdays! This is offered at a first come first serve basis!

Responsibilities

• Building relationships with customers while delivering food products essential to restaurants, schools, hospitals, universities, and more.
• Day shifts and local routes mean you’ll be home every day.
• Unloading cases up to 100 lbs, using a ramp and two-wheeler throughout your shift.

Requirements

• At least 21 years of age
• Ability to operate a two-wheel cart with loads of up to 350 pounds
• Ability to lift cases that range up to 100 lbs throughout shift
• Successfully pass a drug test that will assess drug usage (including marijuana) and a background check
• Clean driving record; as required by DOT and Gordon Food Service standards
• You must be registered through the Department of Transportation Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse and provide electronic consent in order to be considered for employment with us effective January 6, 2020.

• Guaranteed minimum of $1200 per week; daily base pay, plus component pay
• Paid for every mile driven, stop made, and case delivered
