Job summary

Salt City Trucking in Columbus is seeking a Local CDL-A Intermodal Driver to enjoy daily home time and a reliable schedule. You will move intermodal freight with a mix of preloaded, drop-and-hook, live-load, and live-unload tasks on a dedicated local route.

Expect about 3 loads per day, with routes covering Lockbourne, Toledo, and Cincinnati. Must meet CDL requirements and be comfortable winter driving in a no-touch environment.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL.
• Minimum 3 months of verifiable tractor-trailer experience.
• Must be at least 22 years old.
• No more than 3 moving violations in the past 3 years.
• No more than 1 DOT-recordable preventable accident in the past 3 years.
• Must meet DOT Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse requirements.
• Must be willing to cover assigned markets as required.
• Must be comfortable driving in winter weather.
• Must be able to read and speak English sufficiently for driving, communication, and required documentation.

Responsibilities

• Drive local intermodal routes with daily home time.
• Handle approximately 3 loads per day with preloaded, drop-and-hook, live-load, and live-unload freight.
• Operate in a no-touch freight environment.
• Cover assigned markets such as Lockbourne, Toledo, and Cincinnati.

Join a dedicated intermodal operation in the Columbus area offering daily home time , no-touch freight, and consistent routes. Drivers handle approximately 3 loads per day, with a mix of preloaded, drop-and-hook, live-load, and live-unload freight.

Pay Details

• $1,100-$1,400 weekly pay
• $0.61 per mile
• Additional $40 for loaded miles under 99 miles
• $40 per revenue load
• Paid weekly
