Job summary

Ernst Concrete is hiring CDL A or B Local Ready-Mix Drivers in the Chillicothe, OH area for multiple plants. Drivers will be locally delivering ready-mix concrete and other associated products to construction sites within our production areas.

This is a skilled position involving the safe and efficient delivery of ready-mix concrete. We offer a strong benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability coverage, a 401K with company match, and a profit-sharing program.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 19 years of age for intrastate operations & 21 years of age for interstate operations.
• Must have CDL A or B license.
• Must be able to lift 80 pounds.
• Must be able to regularly climb heights up to 13 feet on a ready-mix truck.
• No DUI/DWIs in last 3 years.
• Must meet DOT testing and physical requirements.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen & background check.
• Hiring Radius: Drivers preferred within 20 miles of Chillicothe, OH.

Responsibilities

• Deliver ready-mix concrete to construction sites within our production areas.
• Operate trucks safely and efficiently, following internal procedures.
• Check slumps and mix of concrete, add ingredients, and wash truck after unloading.
• Maintain communication with dispatch and plant personnel.
