Ernst Concrete is hiring CDL A or B Local Ready-Mix Drivers in the Cincinnati, OH area for multiple plants. Drivers will be locally delivering ready-mix concrete and other associated products to construction sites within our production areas.

This is a skilled position focused on safe and efficient delivery. Earn competitive pay with overtime after 40 hours, plus performance, safety, loyalty, and referral bonuses, and a robust benefits package after 30 days of employment.

Qualifications

• No DUI/DWIs in last 3 years
• Must meet DOT testing and physical requirements
• Pre-employment drug screen and background check

Responsibilities

• Deliver ready-mix concrete and related products to construction sites within approved routes
• Perform safe loading/unloading and check slumps and mix accuracy
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and report any equipment issues promptly

Ernst Concrete is hiring CDL A or B Local Ready-Mix Drivers in the Cincinnati, OH area for multiple plants. Drivers will be locally delivering ready-mix concrete and other associated products to construction sites within our production areas. This is a skilled position involving the safe and efficient delivery of ready-mix concrete.

Compensation

• Annual pay range: $60,000 - $128,000
• Average hours weekly: 40-60
  • Overtime pay after 40 hours
• Bonuses:
  • Performance bonus: Based upon team performance and personal work volume ranging from $50 - $250 per month
  • $1,600 Annual safety + attendance bonus (prorated based on hire date)
  • $2,500 Annual loyalty bonus (prorated based on hire date)
  • $750 Referral bonus: Paid $250 at hire, and $500 at 6 months employed
• Paid via direct deposit weekly

Home Time, Route, & Schedule

• Home time: Home daily
• Schedule: Monday - Friday and every other Saturday for a half day
  • Drivers can volunteer every Saturday for extra hours
• Shift: Day shift with early morning start times
  • Varies by season and current projects
• Route: Normally within 35 minutes of home plant
• Level of Touch: Drivers will place chutes from fender to main chute of truck, check slumps and mix of concrete, add various ingredients, and wash truck down after unloading

Equipment

• 2021-2026 Terex/Oshkosh/Western Star mixer trucks
• 100% Automatic transmission fleet
• Inward & outward facing cameras
• Amenities: Tablet with GPS, A/C, Almost 100% air ride suspension, AM/FM w/ Bluetooth

Qualifications

• Must be at least 19 years of age for intrastate operations & 21 years of age for interstate operations
• Must have CDL A or B license
• Must be able to climb in & out of the truck frequently and be able to lift 80 pounds
• Must be able to regularly climb heights of up to 13 feet using steps & a ladder on a ready-mix truck and work on a truck catwalk at an elevated height
• No DUI/DWIs in last 3 years
• Must meet Department of Transportation (DOT) testing and physical requirements and be knowledgeable of DOT regulations
• Must be able to pass a required pre-employment drug screen & background check
• Hiring Radius: Drivers must live within 30 miles of Cincinnati, OH
  • Drivers preferred within 60 minutes of home plant
  • There may be multiple plants hiring within the hiring radius
