Job summary

Southern Gas and Supply of Birmingham LLC is seeking a Class A or B driver with a Hazmat endorsement to join our local delivery fleet. Drive tractor-trailer combinations and tankers to deliver high-pressure industrial gas, medical, and cryogenic cylinders to nearby customers on scheduled routes.

The role requires pre/post-trip inspections, use of handheld scanners, and accurate manifest management. Candidates should be able to lift up to 60 lbs, pass a background check, and pass drug testing.

Qualifications

• Class A or B license with Tanker and Hazmat endorsements.
• 21+ years old and Medical Examiner’s Card.
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs and perform pre/post trip inspections.
• Local delivery route experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and unload high pressure industrial gas, medical or cryogenic cylinders at customer sites or facilities.
• Use handhelds to maintain ELD, pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Communicate with customers and staff to resolve inquiries and provide solutions.
• Maintain manifest and vehicle documents to stay compliant with regulations.
• Follow dispatcher instructions and perform other related duties as assigned.
