Job summary

Performance Foodservice in Augusta, ME is seeking a delivery driver to operate straight trucks and vans on local routes, delivering food and related products to customers. You will unload, verify invoices, and collect payments as required, following DOT safety rules and company policies.

The role requires a valid license, 12+ months driving, a clean MVR, and the ability to lift 60–90 pounds. The schedule runs Tuesday through Saturday with pay starting at $14–$24 per hour depending on experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 12+ months driving experience.
• Valid non-commercial driver's license.
• Meet all state licensing requirements (where applicable).
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Clean MVR for past 3 years.
• Pre-employment drug test.
• Road test.
• Capable of lifting 60–90 pounds and using lift equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform safety checks per DOT regulations (pre/post trip).
• Follow DOT regulations and company safety guidelines; report hazards.
• Inspect vehicle loads and complete required paperwork clearly.
• Drive to deliver orders per schedule.
• Unload and place items at customer locations; obtain signatures; collect payments as needed.
• Load returns and secure trailers; ensure security of vehicle and freight.
• Maintain daily hours of service records per regulatory requirements.
• Keep tractor, loading dock and trailers clean and organized.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
