Job summary

Performance Foodservice is seeking a delivery driver to operate straight trucks or vans on local and intrastate routes, delivering food and related products to customers. The role emphasizes safety, DOT compliance, and professional customer interaction on every stop.

Responsibilities include pre/post trip inspections, verifying paperwork, unloading and securing freight, and maintaining daily logs. The position requires lifting up to 90 pounds and adhering to company safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 6–12 months commercial driving experience.
• Valid non-commercial driver's license.
• Meet State licensing/certification requirements where applicable.
• Must be 21+ years old.
• Clean MVR for past 3 years.
• Pass pre-employment drug test and road test.
• Ability to lift 60–90 pounds and operate equipment to move freight.

Responsibilities

• Perform safety checks (pre/post trip) per DOT regulations.
• Follow DOT regulations and company safety guidelines; report hazards.
• Inspect vehicle loads; verify documentation and invoices for accuracy.
• Deliver orders according to schedule; unload and place products in customer locations.
• Secure cargo, collect signatures, and handle payments per policy.
• Lock/secure vehicle and maintain daily hours-of-service logs.
• Perform housekeeping on tractor/dock area and finish paperwork.
• Other related duties as assigned.
