Job summary

Maersk is seeking a Box Truck Driver in Maryland to safely operate a box truck for local deliveries and occasional white-glove service. You will load/unload, complete delivery documentation, and provide professional customer service on a 7:30am–4:00pm shift, Monday through Friday.

The role requires a valid REAL ID license, ability to read maps, accurate paperwork, and a commitment to safety. Prior box truck or delivery experience is preferred and OT may be required.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license (REAL ID) and acceptable driving record.
• Previous box truck, delivery, or commercial driving experience preferred.
• Ability to read maps, use navigation tools, and maintain general geographic awareness.
• Ability to accurately complete delivery documentation and operational records.
• Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Must be able to speak, read, and write in English.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a box truck on assigned local and regional routes.
• Basic hand tool usage and assembly skills
• Pick up and deliver products, packages, equipment, or materials according to assigned routes and schedules.
• Load, unload, and secure cargo to prevent shifting, loss, or damage during transit.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and promptly report maintenance or safety issues.
• Follow applicable traffic laws, DOT regulations, company policies, and customer-site requirements.
• Maintain accurate delivery records, receipts, inspection documents, and other required paperwork.
• Communicate professionally with customers, dispatchers, warehouse personnel, and leadership regarding deliveries, delays, route changes, and vehicle issues.
• Verify orders, freight condition, and delivery quantities before completing deliveries.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional vehicle and work area.
• Assist with warehouse, material-handling, or loading duties when required.
