Job summary

Wake Forest University Pre-College Programs seeks a full-time Housekeeper to maintain cleanliness of the Lobby, public areas, Main Lounge, and Dining Rooms on campus.

Responsibilities include cleaning restrooms, floors, glass surfaces, and laptops? (Note: focus on cleanliness of common areas and equipment), and daily piano cleaning prior to events. Requires basic education and some related experience; strong English communication is essential.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent completion with at least 6 months of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and understand safety procedures and cleaning instructions.
• Ability to operate floor care equipment and communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the Lobby, public areas, Main Lounge, and Dining Rooms to the standards set by management.
• Clean all public restrooms and replenish supplies.
• Vacuum and mop common areas and stairwells.
• Sweep and mop Lobby and Dining Room areas with appropriate cleaning chemicals.
• Operate floor-buffing equipment safely.
• Clean ashtrays and replace light bulbs as needed.
• Maintain housekeeping storage room inventory and workspace organization.
• Clean glass doors and windows in public areas.
• Clean the piano daily and before client events as required.
• Assist housekeeping and laundry staff with tasks as needed.
• Report repairs or damage to equipment or areas to management.
• Maintain good relations with employees and guests.
• Clean phones in the work area.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
