Job summary

Four Seasons Maui is seeking a Lobby Lounge Server to provide guests with expert knowledge of food and beverage items, describe menus vividly, and coordinate service from kitchen to table with finesse.

You will be part of a dynamic Food & Beverage team, comfortable balancing trays, handling cash and card payments, and maintaining a warm, aloha-inspired guest experience on Maui.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years food & beverage service experience.
• Able to carry and balance a tray.
• Able to process cash and credit card transactions accurately.
• Hawaii Food Handler Card and Maui Liquor Card required.
• ServSafe certification within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Describe and upsell menu items with descriptions; relay guest orders to the kitchen; coordinate timing and transport items to tables.
• Anticipate guest needs, ensure satisfaction, and address concerns promptly.
• Close checks and process payments accurately.

Lobby Lounge Server

Serve guest needs by providing exceptional knowledge of food & beverage menu items as well as information regarding preparation methods. This role is part of the Food & Beverage Division, reporting to the Lobby Lounge Management Team.

Candidates must have valid authorization to work in the United States at the time of application.

What You Will Do

• Describe the selection of food & beverage menu items to guests by offering interesting, and vivid descriptions of the each item’s, origin, taste, and preparation methods; communicate guest orders including any special needs or requests to the kitchen using the hotel’s point-of-sales system; coordinate food timings; check completed kitchen orders with the guest’s original order; transport items to the guest table in a timely manner to ensure proper food quality.
• Anticipate guest needs, ascertain satisfaction, and offer suggestions, and respond urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests.
• Properly and accurately close guest checks; process cash and credit card payments; properly settle voided checks or complimentary meals.

What You Will Bring

• Minimum two years food & beverage service or related work.
• Ability to carry and balance a tray.
• Ability to accurately process cash and credit card transactions.
• Hawaii Food Handler Card
• Maui Liquor Card
• ServSafe (within 3 months)
• Tuberculosis Clearance

What To Expect

• Temporary Full time schedule based on operational needs, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
