Job summary

Rosen Shingle Creek in Orlando offers a part-time Lobby Bar Server role delivering outstanding guest service with food and beverage service, pre-setting the dining area, and maintaining side workstations. You will greet guests, take and deliver orders, and upsell menu items to enhance their dining experience.

Description

Summary:

The Lobby Bar Server provides outstanding guest service by serving food and beverage to restaurant guests, pre-setting the restaurant, maintaining side workstations, clearing tables during and after each meal, and properly storing equipment at the end of each shift. Courteously handle all guest requests based on Company Standards to ensure a pleasant dining experience.

Responsibilities:

• Greet and seat guests in a professional manner
• Take and deliver food and beverage orders
• Provide menu recommendations and upsell items
• Clear tables and assist with guest requests
• Set up and close the restaurant efficiently
• Comply with the company's drug-free and tobacco/nicotine-free policy
• All other duties as assigned.

Experience/Qualifications:

• Minimum two (2) years of serving experience in an upscale restaurant, hotel, resort, lounge, or high-volume food and beverage environment.
• Strong knowledge of food, wine, beer, spirits and classic cocktails.
• Ability to provide exceptional guest service while maintaining a professional and polished appearance.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with guests, management and associates.
• Experience using point-of-sale (POS) systems and handling cash/credit card transactions accurately.
• Ability to multitask and perform efficiently in a fast-paced, high volume environment.
• Must be able to demonstrate responsible alcohol service practices and comply with all local and state alcohol regulations.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays and peak business periods.
• Ability to lift to 25 lbs. consistently and 50 lbs. infrequently
• Must be able to legally work in the USA.

Education and Certification(s)/License(s):

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
