Job summary

InterContinental Los Angeles Downtown is seeking a friendly bartender to welcome guests in the lobby lounge and provide exceptional service. You will prepare drinks exactly as requested, serve food items when needed, and contribute to a memorable guest experience in a luxury setting.

Qualifications

• On-your-feet role requiring stamina for long shifts.
• Ability to lift, push and pull objects up to 50 lbs (23 kg).
• Good reading, writing and basic math skills.
• Must be flexible for night, weekend and holiday shifts.
• Experience preparing a wide range of drinks preferred.
• Compliance with local laws on food handling and serving alcohol.
• Clear, warm communication with guests.

Responsibilities

• Create a warm and welcoming tone for every guest's experience.
• Prepare and serve drinks to high standards and highlight promotions.
• Work with restaurant colleagues to ensure seamless service.
• Set up bar, stock supplies, manage inventory and maintain equipment.
• Change beer barrels and ensure the bar is clean and secure.
• Handle cash and credit transactions accurately.
• Maintain a neat appearance and wear the uniform with pride.
• Be ready for ad-hoc duties as needed by the team.
• Follow safety procedures at all times.
