Location: Located in downtown Providence, Rhode Island, the 294-room Graduate Providence hotel is a historic landmark designed by Warren and Wetmore, opened in 1922, and part of the Historic Hotels of America.

Position Overview: The PM Lobby Attendant maintains cleanliness and attractiveness of public guest areas, following company standards and safety procedures. Nights and weekends are required.

Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain cleanliness standards in public areas including lobbies, hallways, and bathrooms.
  2. Provide friendly, courteous service to guests and staff.
  3. Ensure attendance and appearance standards are met.
  4. Respond promptly to guest requests and report deficiencies.
  5. Assist with cleaning tasks such as vacuuming, dusting, glass cleaning, and trash removal.
  6. Maintain cleanliness of employee areas and storage closets.
  7. Report lost items and maintenance needs.
  8. Perform deep cleaning and floor care as scheduled.
  9. Handle hazardous substances safely.
  10. Support room attendants and complete guestroom cleaning as needed.
  11. Follow safety and operational procedures, and complete assigned projects.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or related experience preferred.
  • Ability to follow instructions and read chemical labels.
  • Bilingual skills are helpful but not required.
  • Knowledge of cleaning equipment and safety procedures.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in heat.
  • Good communication, organization, and stress management skills.
  • Reliable, trustworthy, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
