Job summary

The Hotel at Auburn University is seeking a Lobby Attendant to maintain the cleanliness of the lobby and public areas, including the outside front entrance, while delivering high standards of service and hospitality.

Responsibilities include cleaning restrooms, dusting, maintaining floors, assisting guests, responding to requests, and ensuring safety and order in emergencies. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, and prior experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.

Responsibilities

• Thoroughly clean all public and employee restrooms areas, including sinks, toilets, urinals, mirrors, tiles, counters, walls, stalls, vents, and/or floors.
• Dust all furniture, pictures, and shelves in all public areas.
• Clean and polish all metal surfaces with controlled motion.
• Clean ashtrays and empty trash; clean inside and outside of trash cans.
• Maintain cleanliness of floors via sweeping, mopping, buffing, and polishing.
• Walk the parking lot to pick up trash.
• Maintain carpets and upholstery.
• Restock restrooms and employee restrooms.
• Respond to guest requests.
• Complete maintenance work orders and deliver to supervisors promptly.
• Turn in lost and found items per procedures.
• Clean employee locker room twice daily.
• Vacuum all public areas.
• Maintain outside cleanliness, including entrances and glass doors.
• Monitor elevator cleanliness.
• Clean fitness and business center areas and equipment.
• Report suspicious persons or hazards to Safety/Security.
• Provide general public assistance during emergencies.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
