Job summary

The Solvang resort is seeking a Laundry Attendant to operate and maintain hotel linens, bathrobes, and spa laundry in a cost‑effective way under the supervision of the Laundry Supervisor.

You will coordinate with housekeeping and spa teams, ensure proper sorting, washing, drying, finishing, inventory, and supply purchasing; candidates should have a high school diploma and willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED completed.
  • 1 year of housekeeping or laundry experience preferred.
  • Basic computer skills with email and Internet.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates all laundry operations under the Laundry Supervisor.
  • Collaborates with housekeeping, spa, and hotel management to anticipate resort laundry needs.
  • Maintains linen pars and inventory of all linens, bathrobes, and spa laundry.
  • Ensures washing, drying, finishing, and storage are performed efficiently.

Overview

Operates the laundry rooms in a cost effective and efficient manner and in accordance with hotel guidelines. Cleans all hotel linens, bathrobes, and spa laundry. Works closely with the Laundry Supervisor on maintaining inventory of all linens, bathrobes, and spa laundry.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinates all laundry operations, cleanliness procedures, and safety programs under the direction of the Laundry Supervisor.
  • Coordinates with housekeeping and spa and hotel management to anticipate laundry needs of the resort.
  • Ensures laundry is sorted and prepared to pass through the wash, dry, and finishing process in the most efficient manner.
  • Maintains linen and laundry pars.
  • Ensures preventive maintenance program is maintained for equipment used.
  • Remains current on laundry products and equipment that can simplify and reduce costs.
  • Assists in selecting, negotiating, and purchasing all laundry supplies with the Laundry Supervisor.
  • Inventories all laundry, linens, and supplies.
  • Applies pre spot and mangle, washes, dries, folds, irons, and stores all laundry and linen.
  • Assists in restocking room attendant carts.
  • Notifies supervisor of shortage of supplies, linens, laundry, and bathrobes.
  • Ensures that all machines and equipment are at correct setting for use on different fabrics and materials.
  • May perform Turndown Attendant and Spa Attendant duties as required.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED Certificate.
  • One year of prior experience in housekeeping or laundry services preferred.
  • Knowledge of laundry care procedures and policies is preferred.
  • Basic computer proficiency utilizing Microsoft applications, e-mail, and Internet.
  • Willingness to work flexible schedules in a 24/7 work environment, including holidays, nights, and weekends.
  • Must apply for, receive, and maintain a Gaming License from the Tribal Gaming Agency.
  • Native American hiring preference applies.
