Job summary

Hilton Sandestin Beach is seeking a friendly Housekeeping Lobby Attendant to maintain public areas and support guest services in our beachfront hotel. This role emphasizes cleanliness, attention to detail, and guest satisfaction in a fast-paced environment.

The position requires physical stamina, reliability, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Seasonal hours and benefits are available, with opportunities for growth within the hotel.

Qualifications

• Must have excellent communication and guest service focus.
• Knowledge of local hotels, attractions and restaurants is beneficial.
• Ability to understand and follow directions with limited supervision.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and climb a ladder as needed.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all public area restrooms and lobby spaces; clean sinks, toilets, mirrors, tiles, and floors.
• Dust furniture, vents, light fixtures; perform high-dusting weekly.
• Keep glass doors/windows streak-free and trash removed.
• Clean and service guest laundry area and related equipment.
• Polish metal and brass; ensure lobby areas are swept and spotless.
• Vacuum carpets and report stains to housekeeping.
• Empty trash in outside public areas and HR/Executive/Front Desk offices daily.
• Assist with general housekeeping tasks as needed.

Essential Functions:

• Maintain all public area restrooms by cleaning the sinks, toilets (including the base), urinals, mirrors, tiles, counters, walls, stalls (including the top), vents and floors with the appropriate cleaning product. Ensure amenities are replaced and trash removed.
• Thoroughly dust all furniture (including the legs), pictures, a/c vents, light fixtures and wood work. High dusting is required once a week.
• Glass doors and windows should be free of handprints and streaks.
• Maintain the guest laundry room by cleaning out the lint filters, removing any sand left in the dryers, removing trash, sweeping and mopping the floor, wiping down the equipment.
• Thoroughly clean and polish all metal and brass with the appropriate product.
• Elevators should be swept, mopped or vacuumed throughout the day. Polish the metal and clean the door tracks.
• Vacuum all public area carpeting and report any stains to the housekeeping office.
• Clean ashtrays, urns, sweep and empty trash in the outside public areas.
• The PM lobby attendant is responsible for sweeping and mopping the entire lobby area.
• Remove the trash from HR, Corporate, Executive and Front Desk offices daily.

Specific Job Knowledge, Skill and Ability:

• Must be able to climb a ladder, lift up to 25lbs, bend, stoop and stand for extended periods of time.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Knowledge of the hotel, area attractions and restaurants.
• Ability to understand and follow directions and perform job functions under limited supervision.

Experience:

6 months housekeeping or lobby experience preferred
