Embassy Suites Denver International Airport is seeking a dependable Part-Time Lobby Attendant to keep our public areas welcoming for guests. You will clean public areas, assist Front Desk with guest requests, and ensure a safe, neat lobby.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for cleaning and maintaining the public areas, public bathrooms, lobby and back-of-house areas according to company procedures and at a level that meets or exceeds company standards.
• Thoroughly clean sinks, toilets, urinals, mirrors, tiles, counters, walls, stalls, vents and/or floors with cleaning agents; adhere to cleaning procedures and instructions.
• Dust all furniture, pictures, and shelves; extend arms overhead and bend as needed.
• Clean and polish metal surfaces; clean ashtrays and empty trash.
• Assist with washing coffee mugs and drinking glasses; ensure lobby is neat and clean.
• Assist Front Desk with guest requests such as delivering towels and toiletries.
• Walk the parking lot daily for excess trash; return lost and found items and keys.
• Follow all safety and security procedures and rules; know department fire prevention and emergency procedures.
• Maintain neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance per handbook; perform related duties as requested.

Job Summary

Responsible for cleaning and maintaining the public areas, public bathrooms, lobby and back of the house areas such as employee bathrooms, locker rooms and cafeteria areas, according to company procedures and at a level that meets or exceeds company standards.

Essential Job Functions

The Hotel operates 24 hours a day and 7 days a week, so operational demands require variations in shift days, starting times, and hours worked in a week.

• Thoroughly clean sinks, toilets, urinals, mirrors, tiles, counters, walls, stalls, vents and/or floors with cleaning agents by extending arms over head to reach all above areas. Adhere to cleaning procedures and instructions for use of cleaning agents.
• Thoroughly dust all furniture, pictures, and shelves, extending arms over head, bending and stooping as needed.
• Thoroughly clean and polish all metal surfaces, applying pressure in repeated motion.
• Clean ashtrays and empty trash.
• Assist with washing coffee mugs and drinking glasses.
• Ensure that the lobby area is neat and clean, including picking up trash, keeping floors clean, including front entrance.
• Assists Front Desk with guest requests such as delivering “towels, toiletry, etc.”
• Walk the parking lot daily for excess trash.
• Turns in all lost and found items and all guest room keys.
• Adheres to all company policies and procedures.
• Follows safety and security procedures and rules.
• Knows department fire prevention and emergency procedures.
• Utilizes protective equipment.
• Reports unsafe conditions to management.
• Reports accidents, injuries, near-misses, property damage or loss to management.
• Provides for a safe work environment by following all safety and security procedures and rules.
• All team members must maintain a neat, clean and well groomed appearance. (Specific standards outlined in team member handbook).
• Perform any related duties as requested by management.
• Assists other Housekeeping Personnel when need.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Any combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skill, and ability.
• No previous experience required.
• Ability to understand and follow directions, and perform job functions under limited supervision.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Ability to Lift, Push & Pull up to (50) pounds required.
• Frequent bending while loading/unloading washers/dryers, sorting linen and folding
• Continuous movement throughout department
• Standing is required during the entire shift.
• Frequent twisting, bending, stooping, reaching, standing, walking, talking, hearing, seeing and smiling.
• Ability to extend arms, scrub, bend, stoop, and stand and walk public areas for extended periods of time.
