Job summary

Kessler Hotels' JW Marriott Savannah Plant Riverside District is seeking a Doorperson to welcome guests with attentive, courteous service and assist with transportation needs. This on-site role in Savannah, GA requires a warm demeanor and the ability to manage luggage and guest requests.

You will greet guests by name, help with taxis, open doors, and coordinate with valet and front-of-house teams to ensure a seamless arrival experience at our historic riverside property.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Hotel or related field experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license required for Georgia.
• Flexible and long hours sometimes required.
• Able to stand for the entire shift.
• Must communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload luggage carts and assist guests with the tagging, storing and retrieving of luggage.
• Assist guests with cabs and transportation requirements.
• Call the garage for valet cars, if applicable.
• Open vehicle and hotel doors and greet arriving and departing guests.
• Respond to guest questions and information on local attractions, events and daily activities.
• Be aware of VIP and repeat guests; greet them by name.
• Announce departing shuttles.
• Maintain cleanliness of motor entrance and front door.
