Job summary

AgWest Farm Credit is seeking a Loan Specialist I or II to join the Credit Resolution Team in Spokane, Washington. This full-time role supports distressed accounts, performs credit activities, and assists with loan documentation and risk review. The position reports to the VP, Operations and offers a base salary with a 6% incentive target.

We are in search of a Loan Specialist I or Loan Specialist II to join our Credit Resolution Team in Spokane, Washington (Headquarters). This full‑time position reports to the VP, Operations and is accountable for providing support to service distressed accounts and/or high profile loans.

Compensation Information

The base salary range for this position in Spokane, Washington is:

Level I:
Typical starting range: $40,000 - $51,900
Full base salary range: $40,000 - $57,800
Annual performance-based incentive target is 6% of base.

Level II:
Typical starting range: $44,200 - $58,900
Full base salary range: $44,200 - $66,200
Annual performance-based incentive target is 6% of base.

*Relocation assistance will be provided to eligible candidates who must relocate to accept this position.

• Perform credit activities and provide administrative support to support effective customer service through loan servicing, the extension of sound, constructive credit, and related services.
• Assist the account team in completing financial and loan input documents, verifying customer information, and completing credit investigations and analysis for review and action by risk management.
• Comply with closing requirements and disbursements; book and certify loans within authorities.
• Respond to customer inquiries and process customer transactions including checks and receipts, future payment funds, etc.
• Perform intermediate to advanced administrative functions that include but are not limited to utilizing the MS Office 365 suite and establishing and maintaining files in a digital format.
• Ensure customer information is handled with a high degree of confidentiality.
• Ensure appropriate information security protocols are followed in order to prevent unauthorized transactions.
• Perform all duties and maintain all standards in accordance with company policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Other duties as assigned.

Travel Requirements

• AgWest employees may occasionally be asked to travel for all‑staff or team meetings not included in the standard travel requirements for the role.

Minimum Qualifications

• Experience in consumer lending, banking, or related field
• Exceptional customer service orientation
• Demonstrated commitment to personal accountability and responsibility in the workplace
• Proven ability to consistently arrive on time and maintain regular attendance in accordance with company policies
• Ability to produce accurate reports, documents, and correspondence through attention to detail and knowledge of correct spelling, grammar and sentence structure
• Ability to work efficiently and effectively on multiple projects in multiple software programs
• High school diploma or equivalent

• General knowledge of applicable credit laws and regulations
• General knowledge of agricultural practices
• Knowledge of credit investigation and verification practices
• Knowledge of platting and legal descriptions
• Knowledge of accounting principles and processes
