Job summary

The Village Bank is seeking a Loan Servicer I in Newton, MA, to support consumer, residential mortgage, and commercial loan servicing operations. You will handle posting, maintenance, escrow knowledge, and regulatory compliance with a focus on accuracy and customer service.

This role involves collaboration with branch personnel and third-party vendors to ensure timely servicing and reporting. Starting pay is $25.00 to $30.00 per hour, aligned to experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma with one year or more banking experience.
• Experience with core processing systems is a plus (Insight) or DNA and CoreLogic, E-Oscar, Built, Carm Pro, Encompass, Miniter is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up and board new loans on the core processing system accurately and timely.
• Process loan maintenance requests and ensure customer/account information is current.
• Process daily loan transactions and review file maintenance changes.
• Conduct disbursements on residential construction to perm.
• Calculate loan payoff figures and prepare payoff letters.
• Monitor insurance coverage for collateralized loans and ensure compliance.
• Provide exceptional customer service regarding loan accounts, escrow, and collateral.
• Respond to customer requests and resolve servicing issues.
• Ensure loan servicing activities comply with laws and bank policies.
