Description

We are looking for a motivated, member-focused, target-driven team member to join our Lending Services team as a Loan Servicing Specialist.

Are you an experienced in loan servicing and titles? Do you have experience in the credit union or banking industry? Are you ready to embark on a thrilling financial adventure?

What You’ll Be Doing...

FedChoice is looking for a Loan Servicing Specialist who will be responsible for processing, documentation, follow-up and support for all loans and activities of the Lending Services Department. Processes loan applications and prepares and disburses loans. Handles collateral perfection and tracking, quality control, subordination requests, loan payments, payoffs, lien releases, insurance tracking. Manages e-Oscar credit report disputes. Prepares and handles miscellaneous paperwork. Orders supplies for the department. Maintains files and answers and directs telephone calls. Exercises Lending Authority on a limited basis. Must be registered through the National Mortgage Loan System (NMLS) and must maintain registration. Assists with special projects as needed.

Key Area of Focus...

• Disburses loans appropriately and performs quality control on the loan file and documents.
• Sends Adverse Action Notices as required.
• Ensures recordation, tracking, problem resolution, and timely release of collateral to include but not limited to Deeds of Trusts and Vehicle liens.
• Processes loan payments and payoffs.
• Ensures customers, vendors, and others are properly informed of credit union loan policies and procedures.
• Completes required reports, related documents and compiles information promptly and accurately, and in compliance with department and credit union guidelines and policies.
• Reviews existing policies and guidelines to ensure effectiveness.
• Makes phone calls as needed to vendors, members, and others.
• Ensures requests, problems, and questions are promptly resolved.
• Any other duties as assigned.

Requirements

You should have:

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED). College coursework in the fields of Business, Finance or Accounting preferred.
• Minimum 3 years experience in a credit union or similar financial institution to include both Consumer and Home Equity loan processing, documentation and disbursement, collateral maintenance and perfection.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication.
• A hybrid schedule of 3 days per week on-site.

Preferred:

• Symitar knowledge and experience is a plus.
• Tag and Title knowledge and experience.
• Credit Union or financial institution experience.
