Job summary

Polish & Slavic Federal Credit Union in New Jersey is seeking a Mortgage Loan Specialist to support payoff statements, verifications, and post-closing activities for mortgages and consumer loans.

This role handles AFT/ACH processing, title monitoring, lien releases, tax and insurance disbursements, and ensures accurate documentation. A strong attention to detail and several years in finance are essential.

Qualifications

• Three to five years’ experience in a financial institution.

Responsibilities

• Payoff statements preparation for mortgages, HELOCs and consumer loans.
• Processing requests for verification of mortgages and consumer loans.
• Reviews and posting of lockbox payments, adjustments and corrections.
• Reports review and update (mail code, SS# changes and others).
• Payments posting and re-deposit NSF checks.
• Creating AFT and ACH for mortgages and consumer loans.
• AFT and ACH corrections, updates and cancellations.
• Prepare Satisfaction of Mortgage document for paid off loans and complete requests for Assignment of Mortgage.
• Prepare cover page for county clerk office for satisfaction document recording.
• Prepare cancelation or discharge of mortgage.
• Prepare and transfer closed mortgage files to the Document Control Department.
• Set up modification on the system.
• Checks disbursement to DMV and County Clerk offices.
• Prepare cover page for HELOC and sending to the county clerk office for recording.
• Monitor titles and lien releases.
• Review of disbursed vehicle and consumer loan files.
• Post-Closing review of mortgage files.
• Follow-up to ensure that essential recorded and not recorded documents are received.
• Monitor all loans discrepancies and track unsolved issues.
• Address change update on FICS system.
• Property taxes monitoring.
• Tax and Insurance disbursement and analysis.
• Monitoring and updating expired insurance policies.
• Handle telephone inquiries from members, attorneys and other financial institutions.
• Provide assistance for member(s) regarding their existing or closed mortgage and consumer loan(s).
• Any other duties or responsibilities, as required or assigned.

Pay: $22.02 - $27.03 per hour
