Job summary

Riverview Bank is seeking an entry-level Loan Servicing associate to support daily servicing of loan portfolios in a compliant and customer-focused environment. You will board and maintain Consumer/HELOC and Business Banking loans in the Core Banking system, ensuring accurate terms, schedules, rates, and collateral.

Responsibilities

  • Board Consumer/HELOC loans to the Core Banking system ensuring proper setup of terms, payment schedules, rates and collateral.
  • Board Business Banking and Commercial loans to the Core Banking system with accurate terms, schedules and collateral.
  • Board and servicing purchased loans to the Core Banking system ensuring Bank standards.
  • Perform daily loan maintenance, process payments and reconciliations.
  • Prepare and process loan payoffs.
  • Process boarding, payments and maintenance of the Contract Servicing process.
  • Provide responsive customer service to internal and external clients.
  • Review reports and balance general ledgers.
  • Completes administrative functions including mail processing and supply ordering.

Job description

Responsible for any and all entry level tasks related to the servicing of a loan to include adherence to all company policies, compliance with federal regulations and investor guidelines.

Job Details

The salary for this role will be between $19 and $27 an hour. The specific salary offered will depend on several factors including but not limited to applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience. Hired candidate may be eligible for healthcare benefits, 401K plan, short term & long-term disability coverage, life insurance, vacation & sick time, educational assistance, and several holidays. Certain roles are eligible for additional rewards.

Essential Duties
  • Board Consumer/HELOC loans to the Core Banking system ensuring complete and accurate setup of loan terms, payment schedules, rates and collateral in alignment with documentation and Bank standards.
  • Board Business Banking and Commercial loans, often basic to moderate in nature, to the Core Banking system ensuring complete and accurate setup of loan terms, payment schedules, rates and collateral in alignment with documentation and Bank standards.
  • Board and service purchased and/or servicing purchased loans basic in nature (NOAH, WCRA) to the Core Banking system ensuring Bank standards.
  • Perform daily loan maintenance, process payments and reconciliations.
  • Prepare and process payoffs of loans basic to moderate in nature.
  • Process boarding, incoming and outgoing payments and maintenance of the Contract Servicing process.
  • Provide responsive customer service to internal and external clients, resolving inquiries with professionalism and problem-solving skills.
  • Review reports and balance general ledgers basic to moderate in nature.
  • Completes administrative functions including mail processing, supply ordering and other departmental support tasks.
Additional Duties & Responsibilities
  • Participate in and complete training objectives with passing scores.
  • Follow all Riverview Bank policies and procedures
  • Other duties as assigned.
Relationships
  • Daily contact with the Supervisor/Manager to receive direction and interpretation of existing and new procedures.
  • Daily contact with loan officers, processors, and other Loan Servicing personnel to provide information and assistance with any loan servicing needs.
  • Occasional contact with representatives of businesses who provide necessary confirmation, documentation, etc., of various types of loan related information (i.e., appraisers, title and credit companies, real estate agencies, and various government agencies).

Education and/or Experience Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one year of related experience or a combination of education/experience

Skills
  • Basic knowledge of basic servicing functions, related regulations (CRA, HMDA, RESPA, etc.).
  • Basic knowledge in computers, Excel, Word, and Outlook applications. Ability to understand components of loan operations programs/software such as core and internet based applications.
  • Ability to work with limited guidance to ensure specific tasks are completed within quality and time standards.
  • Ability to present factual information and respond to questions from internal and external customers in a professional manner.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in standard situations.
  • Ability to follow a variety of instructions furnished in a written and/or oral manner
  • Ability to read and interpret operating and maintenance instructions, procedures, safety rules and company manuals.
  • Ability to write basic correspondence
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, ratios, fractions. and apply basic accounting practices/standards.
  • Ability to be flexible in a changing work environment.
