Job summary

First Western Trust in Vail, CO is seeking a Loan Associate to support the full loan lifecycle after origination. You will handle loan boarding, funding, payment processing, collateral tracking, and documentation with accuracy and independence.

You will work with Relationship Bankers and other teams to manage workflows, respond to client requests, and assist with onboarding and planning for clients. This role prioritizes detail and collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• 0–3 years of experience in banking, lending, credit, or related programs.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with banking systems and credit software; CRM experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• High initiative and customer-service mindset.
• Ability to prioritize and complete tasks independently and collaboratively.
• Ability to navigate internal relationships effectively.

Responsibilities

• Gather due diligence documents and materials for new and renewed loan opportunities.
• Prepare and organize file-appropriate approval documents and closing packages with Relationship Bankers.
• Coordinate with Loan Operations to book and fund new loans and maintain the portfolio.
• Track past-due loans, annual reviews, and renewals with timely follow-up.
• Respond to client requests including loan advances and account updates.
• Prepare presentations for onboarding new clients and support Relationship Banker planning.
