Responsibilities

• Document collection and review of initial loan applications.
• Verify borrower's income, employment history, tax returns, assets, and liabilities.

• Submit the complete file to the underwriter and clear post-underwriting conditions.
• Assist closing preparation and ensure CD figures match the loan estimate.
• Input data accurately into loan management systems per policies.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Loan Processor to join our team. In this role, you will evaluate and process loan applications. Your responsibilities will include interviewing applicants to gather financial information, evaluating creditworthiness, and completing loan contracts. The ideal candidate has excellent communication and customer service skills and a deep understanding of current lending practices and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Document Collection & Review: Examine initial loan applications (such as the Form 1003) for missing information, errors, or red flags.
  Information Verification: Validate the borrower's income, employment history, tax returns, bank and asset statements, and liabilities.
  Third-Party Service Coordination: Order and track external documents including home appraisals, title work, flood certifications, credit reports, and hazard insurance binders.
  Underwriting Liaison: Submit the complete file to the underwriter and work closely with borrowers and loan officers to clear any post-underwriting "conditions" or requests for extra paperwork.
  Closing Preparation: Help prepare the closing disclosure (CD), check figures against the original loan estimate, and coordinate with title companies or closing agents to ensure a smooth closing day.
  Compliance & Data Entry: Input accurate data into loan management or banking software while ensuring all files adhere to company policies and state or federal lending regulations.
