Worksourceheartofgeorgia is seeking a Loan Assistant to join our Hazlehurst, GA team. The role involves processing loan applications, gathering documentation, and preparing packages for closing in compliance with legal and regulatory guidelines.

The position requires attention to detail, strong communication, and the ability to work with limited direction. It also involves coordinating with borrowers, appraisers, attorneys, and staff to ensure accurate processing and timely closings.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Degree/Diploma in business related field preferred.
• Prior experience with loan documentation / processing preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)

Responsibilities

• Process loan applications, gather documentation, analyze data for underwriting criteria, and prepare loan packages for closing in compliance with legal and regulatory guidelines.
• Coordinate with loan officers, customers, appraisers, attorneys, internal staff, and others to ensure smooth loan processing.
• Answer customer calls and quote payoffs, prepare loan extension requests, and analyze loan files to prepare renewals.
• Handle loan documentation exceptions and various other duties as needed to support the loan process.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to policy, laws, and regulations within the financial services industry.
