Job summary

Western Alliance Bank is seeking a Loan Operations Administrator II to close and disburse loans across multiple products. You will gather documentation from Borrowers, verify files, and prepare closing packages while coordinating with Compliance and Lending Origination Officers.

You will resolve closing obstacles such as liens, insurance, and title issues, and ensure accurate, compliant documentation for boarding and funding. Strong organization and team collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of related experience in Loan Administration, Lending and/or Deposit Sales, or similar field.
  • Entry level to intermediate knowledge of general banking operations, including deposit operations, loan administration, treasury management and/or other commercial banking products and services.
  • Entry level to intermediate knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices.
  • Knowledge of one or more loan types.

Responsibilities

  • Close and disburse loans for various products; gather documentation and collateral information.
  • Verify documents and prepare closing documents.
  • Collaborate to resolve issues related to closing such as liens, judgments, insurance, and title exceptions.
  • Support Loan Operations Team Lead in processing loan requests from Lending Origination Officers.
  • Prepare loan packages for review by Documentation, Compliance and Lending Origination Officer.
  • Ensure loan submissions comply with bank policies; maintain loan documentation.
  • Prepare boarding submissions and disburse loan proceeds; collect all closing fees.
  • Follow up on post-closing exceptions and obtain original signed documents.
  • Research credit inquiries and UCC filings to assess collateral and creditworthiness.

What you'll do

As a Loan Operations Administrator II you'll be responsible for completing duties involved with closing and disbursing loans for a variety of loan products offered by the Bank.
You'll work closely with the business and other third parties to facilitate in the gathering of appropriate documentation and collateral information from the Borrower, verifying documents and researching information to prepare closing documents.
One of your key responsibilities is to collaborate with appropriate parties to assist in the resolution of any issues or obstacles related to closing the loan such as liens, judgments, insurance, and title exceptions.
Responsible for supporting the Loan Operations Team Lead in processing loan requests prepared by Lending Origination Officers.
Prepare loan packages for review by Documentation, Compliance and the Lending Origination Officer.
Work collaboratively with the team to ensure loan submissions comply with bank policies and procedures, and that completed loan documentation is accurate and properly maintained.
Prepare the submission of files for boarding, including disbursements of loan proceeds; ensures all fees are properly and fully collected at closing.
Ensure follow up on post-closing exceptions and receipt of original signed document.
Monitor tickler files for accounts; ensure credit inquires and UCC filings are researched to determine credit worthiness and appropriate collateral positioning are achieved.

What you'll need

3+ years of related experience in Loan Administration, Lending and/or Deposit Sales, or similar field.
High school diploma required.
Entry level to intermediate knowledge of general banking operations, including deposit operations, loan administration, treasury management and/or other commercial banking products and services.
Entry level to intermediate knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices.
Knowledge of one or more loan types.
Proficient in multi-tasking in a team oriented environment and focused on the highest standards of client service.
Intermediate speaking and writing communication skills.
