The Loan Officer Associate supports Loan Officers while developing skills to become Loan Officers in the future. This role involves completing online and classroom training, along with operational and hands-on experience assisting Loan Officers and Division Managers.

Job Description

Loan Officer Associate

Responsibilities include:

• Participating in formal training on lending processes, loan types, credit assessment, and loan approval.
• Learning to accurately price and lock loans using mortgage rate sheets.
• Reviewing reports to understand the mortgage process from application to closing.
• Completing licensing exams and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of RESPA through continuing education.
• Updating loan applications and maintaining notes in the Loan Origination System.
• Supporting business development by participating in builder and realtor events and marketing campaigns.
• Providing excellent customer service by acting as a primary contact for borrowers and coordinating meetings.
• Assisting internal teams with procuring loan documents and engaging through various communication channels.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; BA or BS preferred.
• Mortgage or banking experience is a plus.
• Strong communication skills to articulate product features and benefits.
• Customer-focused attitude with organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
