The Loan Officer Associate supports Loan Officers while developing skills to become a Loan Officer. The role involves online and classroom training, operational support, and hands-on experience under the guidance of Loan Officers and Division Managers.

Your Responsibilities

• Learning Development: Participate in training on lending processes, loan types, credit assessment, and loan pricing. Review reports to understand the mortgage process from application to closing.
• Continuous Education and Licensure: Complete licensing tests, maintain up-to-date knowledge of RESPA through ongoing education.
• Support and Coordination: Update loan applications, maintain notes in the Loan Origination System, and assist with initial file setup.
• Business Development and Customer Relations: Engage with builders and realtors, support local marketing efforts.
• Customer-Centric Approach: Ensure accessible communication channels for borrowers, act as primary contact, and schedule meetings.
• Collaboration and Flexibility: Assist processors and closers with loan documentation, support internal teams, and work flexible hours including weekends and evenings.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• BA or BS preferred
• Mortgage or banking experience (preferred)
• Experience articulating product features and benefits
• Passion for customer satisfaction
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, multitasking ability
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Physical & Office Presence

Regular in-person attendance at company sites and offices is required. Dexterity to operate a computer keyboard and calculator may be needed.
