Job summary

American Airlines Credit Union is seeking a Member Services Representative at our Flower Mound, TX branch. You will build long-term member relationships by matching needs to credit union products and lending solutions, while handling loan processing and notary duties.

You will work in-person five days a week, with a rotating Saturday schedule, and participate in cross-selling and customer service excellence to support our branch team.

Qualifications

• Requires in-person work at assigned branch location.
• Financial institution experience and consumer loan processing/underwriting in the last 12 months preferred.
• Position level determined by candidate's skills and experience.
• Must be available to work in office 5 days a week with monthly Saturday rotation.

Responsibilities

• Process new loan applications by interviewing members and analyzing credit reports and documentation.
• Exercise lending authority to handle loan requests, including consumer loans.
• Assist with cross-selling Credit Union products and services.
• Provide Notary services as required and support events at the branch.
• Maintain branch operations, ensure security and comply with policies and regulations.
• Support management and staff, cover for vacations, and respond to member inquiries promptly.

This job is with the American Airlines Credit Union at our Flower Mound branch (zip cde: 75028). The role is responsible for building member-relationships for the long term by matching member-needs to American Airlines Credit Union products, services and lending solutions.

What you'll do

• Processnew loan applications, which includes interviewing the member, analyzing credit reports and documentation and offering the best product to meet member needs
• Exerciselending authority to correctly handle all loan requests, including but not limited to consumer loans
• Creates and promotes positive name recognition for the Credit Union
• Supportor speakpublicly at special Credit Union events
• Workwith branch/department managers and staff to identify and leverage cross-selling opportunities
• Researchmember inquiries and providesolutions as required in a timely manner
• Maintainawareness of all branch functions and duties to ensure proper support and coverage is provided at all times
• Implementand enforceinternal control and security measures in accordance with Credit Union policies and government regulations
• Fostera culture that promotes teamwork, service excellence and relationship building
• Handleresponsibilities of a Member Services Representative as needed
• PerformNotary Services as required
• Providecoverage for management vacations
• May work a rotating Saturday schedule depending on job location

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

• High School diploma or GED equivalent
• Must be able to work in-person at assigned branch location
• Must have strong working background in a financial institution and relevant consumer loan processing or underwriting experience within the last twelve months
• Job level to be determined by the candidate's skills, qualifications and experience
• Requires you to be in office 5 days a week with a monthly Saturday rotation.

Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, related area, or equivalent financial services experience, or a combination of education and experience that provides the necessary skills and knowledge to satisfactorily perform the essential job functions
• Lending and sales-culture environmentexperience

Skills, Licenses & Certifications

• Skilled in Microsoft Office software (i.e., Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) gained through either work experience with the software or education and hands-on use of the software
• Must fulfill FAA criminal background checks to qualify for unescorted access privileges to airport security identification display areas (SIDA), if applicable
• Ability to exercise excellent member service skills
• Ability to perform in a sales-culture environment with a desire to cross sell Credit Union products and services
• Ability to perform in a fast paced environment, handle multiple tasks and function as an integral part of a team
• Ability to interact professionally with all employees and members
• Ability to speak, read, and write in English is required; Spanish is a plus
• Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
• Ability to perform basic math calculations and analyze data
• Ability to self-motivate with strong organization skills and capacity for attention to detail
• Ability to effectively prioritize work and meet deadlines
• Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time
• Abiliyt to work varying schedules, including evenings and weekends
• Ability to travel overnight
• Ability to maintain satisfactory performance and attendance
• Ability to pass applicable American Airlines and Credit Union pre-hire compliance checks
