West Capital Lending is seeking a self-driven Loan Officer to originate residential mortgage loans in a remote role focused on the St. Louis, MO market.

You will manage the loan process from application to closing, while building strong client and referral partner relationships. The ideal candidate has 2+ years in mortgage origination, deep knowledge of Conventional, FHA, VA and Non-QM products, and the ability to work independently in a virtual environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience as Loan Officer or Mortgage Loan Originator.
• Knowledge of conventional, FHA, VA and non-QM products.
• Must be able to work independently in a remote environment.

Responsibilities

• Originate residential mortgage loans (Conventional, FHA, VA, Non-QM).
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, real estate agents, and referral partners.
• Guide borrowers through the loan application process and provide clear, timely communication.
• Analyze borrower financials to recommend appropriate loan products.
• Ensure all loan files meet federal, state, and investor guidelines.
• Collaborate with processing and underwriting teams to ensure timely closings.
• Stay up to date on lending guidelines and market trends.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as a Loan Officer or Mortgage Loan Originator preferred
• Strong knowledge of mortgage products and underwriting guidelines
• Excellent communication, sales, and relationship-building skills
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment
• Proficient with loan origination systems and digital documentation tools
