Job summary

Boone County Bank is seeking a motivated Loan Officer to join our growing team. This role focuses on building and maintaining customer relationships, evaluating loan requests, and guiding clients through the lending process.

The ideal candidate is passionate about helping customers succeed financially, enjoys collaboration, and is eager to expand expertise across agricultural, commercial, consumer, and real estate loans.

Qualifications

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to build trust and long-term customer relationships.
  • Detail-oriented with sound decision-making abilities.
  • Knowledge of credit analysis and underwriting principles is a plus.
  • Commitment to community involvement and customer service.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, agriculture, or related field preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong customer relationships within the community.
  • Interview applicants and evaluate financial information to determine lending needs.
  • Originate, process, and manage loans in accordance with bank policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Educate customers on loan products and financial solutions.
  • Collaborate with other bank team members to deliver excellent customer service.
  • Participate in business development and community involvement activities.
  • Maintain knowledge of lending regulations, underwriting standards, and market conditions.
  • Support customers with a variety of lending needs, including agricultural, commercial, consumer, and real estate loans.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain strong customer relationships within the community
  • Interview applicants and evaluate financial information to determine lending needs
  • Originate, process, and manage loans in accordance with bank policies and regulatory requirements
  • Educate customers on loan products and financial solutions
