Job summary

Fitzsimons Credit Union in Aurora, CO is hiring a Financial Consultant I to help members with loans, accounts, and financial solutions. You will build relationships, provide personalized guidance, and contribute to a friendly, growth-focused team.

Starting pay ranges from $21.00 to $24.00 per hour with incentives, plus a strong benefits package including tuition reimbursement, 401(k) with employer match, paid time off, and long-term disability insurance.

Qualifications

• Experience in helping members with loans, accounts and financial solutions.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Spanish-speaking abilities are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Engage with members in person, over the phone, or digitally to build trust.
• Assist with consumer loans, home equity products, credit cards, and funding from application to closing.
• Open and update accounts and ensure accurate member transactions.
• Identify member needs and recommend credit union products, referring to specialists when needed.
• Educate members on options to support informed financial decisions.
• Assist members with online banking and other self-service tools.
• Follow policies, procedures and regulations to protect member information.

As a Financial Consultant I, you'll be the expert our members rely on!

What You'll Do:

• Engage with Members: Provide friendly, personalized service in person, over the phone, or digitally - always focused on building trust.
• Loan Solutions: Assist members with consumer loans, home equity products, credit cards, and more - from application to funding.
• Account Services: Open new accounts, update existing accounts, and ensure accuracy in all member transactions.
• Product Recommendations: Identify members' needs and recommend the best credit union products, referring to specialists when necessary.
• Financial Guidance: Educate members on their options so they can make informed financial decisions.
• Tech Support: Help members navigate online banking and other self-service tools.
• Compliance & Security: Follow all policies, procedures, and regulations while keeping member information safe and secure.

What We're Looking For:

• A positive attitude and passion for helping others succeed financially.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to connect with people from all walks of life. (Spanish-speaking skills are a plus!)
• Problem-solving skills and a solutions-focused mindset.
• Attention to detail with the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
• Previous lending or financial services experience is preferred, but we're happy to train the right person!
