General Purpose

Documentation Specialist- This position is responsible for the ordering of accurate and timely preparation of loan documents on commercial, residential, and consumer loans, so that they meet the conditions of the loan approvals and all pertinent regulatory requirements. The position is also responsible for various other loan administration duties.

Loan Assistant Essential Duties/Responsibilities
  • Order and ensure the accuracy of the necessary documentation for preparation of closing documents.
  • Prepare written instruction to have the closing documents drawn up, in accordance with the approval and or the appropriate lending regulations as well as all bank policy regulations.
  • Ensure loan agreements are complete and accurate according to policy.
  • Compose letter and other correspondence with no instruction.
  • Prepare forms necessary to order appraisals.
  • Assist loan officers and clearing exceptions.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Supervisory Duties

  • Knowledge of company policies and applicable regulations.
  • Knowledge of risk management principles.
  • Knowledge of compliance monitoring systems.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge of real estate, consumer, commercial loans and applicable regulations
  • Proficiency in various software programs, document management software, database applications and internet research.

  • Takes assigned project from original concept through final implementation.
  • Maintains project schedules, estimating time requirements, establishing deadlines, monitoring milestone completion and tracking all phases of the project product.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups.
  • Provide prompt appropriate assistance to managers with respect to regulatory and compliance issues.
  • Ability to balance business opportunities with regulatory and reputation risk.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables and interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral diagram, or schedule form.
  • Must be self directed, diplomatic and a clear, courteous and professional when working with internal and external customers.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as fractions percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Work Experience
  • Five years of financial experience, training, and compliance in several departments of financial institutions including; lending, compliance, risk management, legal or audit, processing.
  • Experience working with the state and federal legal and regulatory agencies.
  • Experience in legislative review, analysis and reporting.
  • Experience developing and filing policy forms.
  • Strong leadership, project management and relationship management skills.
