Job summary

pinnbank is seeking a Loan Support Assistant to serve in the loan area, responsible for processing loans and assisting with customer inquiries.

The role requires knowledge of bank operations, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain organized records. Ideal candidates will hold a high school diploma and have preferred experience in bookkeeping and computer software.

Responsibilities

• Processes loans including preparation work and follow-up.
• May assist with loan closings.
• Preparation of reports for management.
• Maintains and revises filing and record keeping articles.
• Assists customers with loan or account questions.
• Processes payments and bill paying.
• Tracks exceptions and performs other duties as assigned.

GENERAL SUMMARY:

Serve as support to the loan area.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

1. Processes loans, which include: preparation work, computer input and follow-up.
2. May assist with loan closings.
3. Prepare reports for management.
4. Assists with preparation of loans for loan committee, as needed.
5. Establishes, maintains, and revises filing and record keeping articles, records, and other documents.
6. Assists with customers in reference to loan questions or account questions.
7. Assists with bill paying and GL entries.
8. Exception tracking.
9. Processes payments.
10. Performs other duties as assigned.
11. Regular and reliable attendance.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

• Knowledge of bank operations, policies, and procedures.
• Knowledge of loan processes and basic accounting.
• Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software.
• Skill in communicating effectively with management, customers, and co-workers.
• Ability to pay close attention to detail and work with a high degree of accuracy.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• High School diploma or equivalent experience in banking.
• Previous experience with computer software and bookkeeping preferred.

PHYSICAL DIMENSIONS:

Light Work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negotiable amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry or otherwise move objects. Job involves sitting most of the time and walking and standing some of the time.
