Job summary

gpac in partnership with a leading financial services firm in Baton Rouge, LA, is seeking a Loan Administration Specialist to join their loan operations team. This role handles loan processing, document verification, and coordination of closings across consumer, commercial, and mortgage portfolios.

Ideal candidates bring 2+ years of loan operations experience, strong regulatory knowledge, and excellent communication and organizational skills. Horizon Core Processing experience is a big plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years experience in loan operations; 3+ preferred.
• Strong understanding of Consumer and Commercial Lending Compliance and Regulations.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Good organizational and analytical abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive loan processing and account maintenance duties.
• Ensure accurate collection and verification of loan documentation, including income, credit, appraisal, and title insurance.
• Prepare and submit loan applications for closing, draft loan document packages, and coordinate loan closings.
• Input new loans, renewals, participations, and modifications into the loan systems.
• Manage loan servicing tasks such as payments, payoffs, insurance, and tax tracking.
• Maintain electronic loan files and track any document exceptions.
• Utilize and maintain proficiency in automated systems including the Core System, Loan Origination System, and product-specific software.
