Job summary

NBT Financial Bank in Grapevine, TX is seeking a detail-oriented Loan Administrative Associate to support loan officers and maintain high-quality customer service. Responsibilities

  • Performs all administrative duties including answering phone calls, sending emails to clients, performing research and accomplishing various customer service-related duties.
  • Full knowledge of consumer, commercial and real estate loans that we offer as well as taking a personal initiative to stay updated on any changes.
  • Responsible for assisting customers needing loan information and completing various types of loan applications.
  • Must obtain appropriate information to prepare consumer, commercial and real estate loan documents for funding and assist the customer in signing the loan closing documents.
  • Responsible for communicating effectively with Title Companies, Insurance Companies, Car Dealerships, Attorneys and Environmental Consulting Firms.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
  • Full knowledge and understanding of loan files, title work, appraisals, surveys, insurance and closing documents.Knowledge of construction budgets balancing and processing a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of all banking regulations, applicable to the job function, and of all bank policies and procedures, with a willingness to participate in educational opportunities.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

Job description

Summary/Objective:

This position performs various types of loan administrative duties for loan officers. This position is responsible for the delivery of high-quality customer service to the customer as needed. This position works directly with all officers of the bank in various capacities, including problem solving.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

  • Basic knowledge of all banking regulations, applicable to the job function, and of all bank policies and procedures, with a willingness to participate in educational opportunities.

This position operates in a professional environment in the branch bank lobby. This position routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Position Qualifications:

  • Must have prior knowledge of loan documentation.
  • Must have the ability to ensure that appropriate efficiency, accuracy, and customer service is provided to customers to ensure that the bank’s goal of “Exceeding Expectations” is met.
  • Must have the ability to demonstrate accuracy and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must have the ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Must have the ability to speak, read and write proficiently in English to communicate and interact with customers and bank staff.
  • Must be organized to effectively perform the variety of tasks the position requires.
  • Must be skilled in communicating with customers and co-workers in courteous and professional manner.
  • Must be skilled in effectively listening to customers and making appropriate referrals
  • Must have the ability to maintain regular and reliable attendance, and the ability to work flexible hours, including weekends (if needed).
  • Must be willing to take initiative to learn new tasks and accept new responsibilities.
  • Must quickly grasp and retain the concepts that are foundational to effectively function in this position.
  • Must have the ability to make judgments within the scope of authority

Required Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in banking with an emphasis on loan operations
  • Computer skills – basic knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met be an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

  • The employee will frequently sit or stand for extended periods of time and must be able to remain in a stationary position.
  • The employee will frequently move about inside the office setting to access office equipment, file cabinets, etc.
  • The employee will frequently communicate and interact with bank staff and customers and must be able to exchange accurate information.
  • The employee will occasionally be required to move bank/office equipment weighing up to 50 pounds across premises.
