Job summary

Idaho First Bank is seeking a Loan Accounting Specialist in Boise to maintain accurate loan accounting records and servicing activity. You will reconcile loan balances, monitor payments across channels, and ensure timely posting with strong internal controls.

The role collaborates with Loan Servicing, Operations, Treasury, and Accounting to support month-end close and regulatory requests, while maintaining thorough documentation and audit readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.
• Experience with reconciliations, general ledger accounting, and financial reporting.
• Previous banking or financial services experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile loan servicing system balances to the general ledger and supporting records.
• Monitor and reconcile suspense, clearing, settlement, and exception accounts.
• Reconcile payments in process across ACH, lockbox, online payments, wires, and other methods.
• Identify, research, and resolve payment posting exceptions promptly.
• Assist month-end reconciliation and close activities related to loan accounting and servicing.
• Maintain documentation to support reconciliations and audit requests.
