Job summary

AgCredit in Kenton, Ohio seeks a Loan Accountant to support loan origination, servicing and reporting. You will maintain loan and member data, process receipts and disbursements, and provide courteous service to internal and external customers.

You’ll back up other offices, verify post-closing items, and handle cash management, GL accounting and accounts payable; a two-year degree or three years' accounting experience is required.

Qualifications

• Two-year degree in Business or Ag Business OR high school graduate with three years of accounting related work experience.
• Working knowledge of general accounting functions, loan documents and legal documents.
• Ability to work independently and effectively with a diverse group of people under general supervision.
• Strong communication skills with lending teams and admin personnel.
• Demonstrates strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Book loans to the loan system and maintain member and loan data.
• Perform post-closing loan verification and related accounting tasks.
• Manage lending office cash, GL accounting and accounts payable.
• Provide general clerical support to lending team and greet members.
• Serve as a shared resource for other offices and back up other Loan Accountants.
