Job summary

AgCredit in Kenton, OH is seeking a Loan Accountant to support loan origination, servicing, and reporting. You will book loans, maintain member data, process receipts and disbursements, and help with daily lending operations.

You will work with the lending team to ensure data accuracy, perform post-closing checks, manage cash and GL accounting, and provide courteous service to members and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Two-year degree in Business or Ag Business required.
• Three years accounting experience acceptable with high school diploma.
• General accounting knowledge and loan document familiarity.
• Ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
• Strong communication with lending teams and admin staff.

Responsibilities

• Book loans to the loan system and maintain data accuracy.
• Process receipts, disbursements, and loan payoffs.
• Review reports and daily transactions with the lending team.
• Perform post-closing verification and checklists.
• Manage cash, GL accounting, and accounts payable.
• Provide clerical support and greet members.
• Back up other Loan Accountants as needed.
