Job summary

Kent Nutrition in Columbus, NE is hiring for a Loading Dock Operator on 1st shift (Mon-Fri, 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.). This full-time role involves accurate receiving logs, FIFO stock rotation, material coordination, and daily quality control communication.

You will inspect trailers, maintain records, support safety programs (OSHA, cGMPs, HACCP, FSMA), and operate a forklift. Strong teamwork and basic computer skills are required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of OSHA safety requirements.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Good communication, verbal and written skills.
• Work and cooperate with all fellow employees.
• Thorough understanding of cGMPs.
• Knowledge of HACCP Feed & Food Safety Plan.
• Knowledge of FSMA.
• Ability to operate a forklift.

Responsibilities

• Fill out accurate receiving log for all packaging and raw materials.
• Rotate stock for first in first out usage and/or shipments.
• Consult with Shipping or Receiving Supervisor for required materials.
• Advise Quality Control daily of any problems with ingredients or finished goods.
• Inspect trailers for sanitation using BB Trailer Inspection form.
• Advise Shipping/Receiving Supervisor of any shortages, damages, etc.
• Keep Warehouse aisles clean of debris, boxes, pallets, etc.
• Repair or destroy any damaged ingredients or finished products as directed. If destroyed, report type, quantity, resource and lot numbers and location to Shipping/Receiving Supervisor
• Maintain forklifts with proper charging and water in battery
• Maintain adequate records of receiving and/or shipping
• Do monthly cycle counts on various items per management
• Do physical counts as instructed per management
• Other duties as assigned by Plant Management
