Job summary

KENT Nutrition Group, Inc. is seeking a Loading Dock Operator for our Mason, MI plant. The role ensures efficient movement, storage, and shipment of products, while upholding safety, quality, and customer service standards.

The position is full-time, on-site, and Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with a competitive wage and benefits. Responsibilities include accurate receiving logs, FIFO stock rotation, coordination with Shipping/Receiving, and weekly/monthly counts.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of OSHA safety requirements.
  • Basic computer knowledge.
  • Good communication, verbal, written and math skills.
  • Thorough understanding of cGMPs.
  • Knowledge of HACCP Feed & Food Safety Plan.
  • Knowledge of FSMA.
  • Ability to operate a forklift.

Responsibilities

  • Fill out accurate receiving log for all packaging and raw materials.
  • Rotate stock for first in, first out usage and/or shipments.
  • Consult with Shipping or Receiving Supervisor for required materials.
  • Advise Quality Control daily of any problems with ingredients or finished goods.
  • Advise Shipping/Receiving Supervisor of any shortages, damages, etc.
  • Keep warehouse aisles clean of debris, boxes, pallets, etc.
  • Maintain forklifts with proper charging and water in battery.
  • Maintain adequate records of receiving and/or shipping.
  • Do monthly cycle counts on various items per management.
  • Do physical counts as instructed per management.

In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the efficient movement, storage, and shipment of products while supporting safe and effective warehouse operations. This full-time, 1st shift position is scheduled Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and offers a competitive wage, opportunities for career growth, and a comprehensive benefits package.

  • This position is designed and intended to be performed in Mason, MI.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Fill out accurate receiving log for all packaging and raw materials
  • Rotate stock for first in first out usage and/or Shipments
  • Consult with Shipping or Receiving Supervisor for required materials
  • Advise Quality Control daily of any problems with ingredients or finished goods
  • Advise Shipping/Receiving Supervisor of any shortages, damages, etc.
  • Keep Warehouse aisles clean of debris, boxes, pallets, etc.
  • Repair or destroy any damaged ingredients or finished products as directed. If destroyed, report type, quantity, resource and lot numbers and location to Shipping/Receiving Supervisor
  • Maintain forklifts with proper charging and water in battery
  • Maintain adequate records of receiving and/or shipping
  • Do monthly cycle counts on various items per management
  • Do physical counts as instructed per management
  • Other duties as assigned by Plant Management
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety requirements
  • Basic computer knowledge
  • Good communication, verbal, written and math skills
  • Work and cooperate with all fellow employees
  • Thorough understanding of cGMP’s
  • Knowledge of HACCP Feed & Food Safety Plan
  • Knowledge of FSMA
  • Ability to operate a forklift
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • Must be able to safely lift up to 55 lbs. from floor to working height, as job requires
  • Ability to work in dust and adverse weather conditions and temperatures
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and physical
