Job summary

Harvard Protection Services, LLC is seeking a Security - Loading Dock Officer to oversee secure and efficient loading dock operations at client locations. You will manage deliveries, monitor traffic, and ensure compliance with site security protocols.

Requirements include a high school diploma, 1–2 years security experience, and the ability to obtain a state security license. Pay is USD 21.00 per hour, with a Monday–Friday schedule and overtime available.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid state-mandated security officer license or ability to obtain one.
• Minimum of 1–2 years of security experience, preferably with logistics or dock-related responsibilities.
• Familiarity with security systems, access control devices and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a professional demeanor while assisting vendors, employees, tenants, and visitors.
• Monitor and control access to loading docks and adjacent areas, ensuring only authorized personnel are permitted entry.
• Greet and verify delivery personnel, vendors, and contractors entering the loading dock area.
• Maintain a visible presence and patrol dock zones to deter theft, vandalism, or unauthorized activity.
• Answer incoming calls and manage communication related to dock operations.
• Enforce building and loading dock policies and procedures within established guidelines.
• Inspect outgoing deliveries to ensure authorized removal of property.
• Monitor security systems and alarms related to dock areas.
• Prepare incident and activity reports as required.
• Follow established emergency protocols and support evacuation procedures.

Job Summary
