Job summary

Greenwood Fabricating And Plating LLC is seeking a Plating Technician to verify materials, determine plating parameters, and maintain quality standards. You will inspect parts, manage documentation, and ensure safe operation within the plating line.

The role requires lifting up to 70 pounds, standing, and following strict procedures. Training will be provided; schedule is Mon-Thu 7am-4pm, Fri 7am-11am, with rotation after training.

Qualifications

  • Legible handwriting is required.
  • Ability to follow written instructions accurately.
  • Ability to use measuring instruments, gauges and test equipment proficiently.
  • Understanding of decimals and fractions is necessary.
  • Good written and verbal communication is required.
  • Accurately read blueprint specifications.
  • Able to lift up to 70 pounds.
  • Standing, stooping and bending 100% of the time.

Responsibilities

  • Follows customer service schedule and assists customer service when requested.
  • Determines amount of time and electrical current to be applied to parts during plating process.
  • Verifies and sends all racks according to shop order work instructions.
  • Visually inspects parts through cleaning process and post plate rinsing process.
  • Performs thickness and adhesion test and documents as required.
  • Fills out HOLD tickets for non-conforming materials.
  • Fills out maintenance check sheets and daily check sheets; makes adjustments to keep tank temperatures in range.
  • Follows all safety rules.

Job description

Summary of Duties:

Receives, verifies, and inspects materials received from warehouse for the plating processes. Responsible for size and count verification to ensure conformance to all specifications for the plating processes. Responsible for determining size, composition, plating process and thickness for materials from the customer order form. Must maintain production and quality standards. Must conform to all safety rules. Must maintain documentation as required. Performs other duties assigned by supervisor or lead person.

Job Duties Include (but not limited to):

  • Follows customer service schedule and assists customer service when requested.
  • Determines amount of time and electrical current to be applied to parts during plating process in accordance with standard manufacturing procedures.
  • Verifies and sends all racks according to shop order work instructions.
  • Visually inspects parts through cleaning process and post plate rinsing process.
  • Performs thickness and adhesion test and documents as required.
  • Responsible for filling out "HOLD" tickets for any/all non-conforming materials.
  • Responsible for filling out maintenance check sheets, daily check sheets, and maintenance request forms. Makes adjustments if necessary to get tank temperatures in operating ranges.
  • Follows all safety rules.

  • Ability to lift up to 70 pounds at frequent intervals.
  • Must maintain "meets expectation" attendance, safety and job performance evaluations.
  • This job requires standing, stooping and bending 100% of the time.

Hours: M-Thur 7am-4pm Fri 7am-11am (rotate following week M 7am-11am T-Fri 7am-4pm after training is complete)
