Shift Schedules
- 1st shift: Monday-Friday, 7:00am-3:30pm, $18/hour
- Mid shift: Friday-Monday, 7:00am-5:30pm, $19/hour + $1/hour shift differential = $20/hour
- 2nd shift: Monday-Friday, 3:30pm-12:00am, $19/hour + $1/hour shift differential = $20/hour
Job Purpose
Operate forklifts safely and efficiently, handle freight inbound/outbound properly, maintain warehouse orderliness, and ensure shipments are staged, checked, and loaded correctly. Responsible for proper stock storage and performing material handling activities using warehouse sheets and forklifts, following safety policies at all times.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist Warehouse Manager to ensure efficient warehouse operations.
- Operate sit-down forklifts and/or EPJs.
- Use computers and RF equipment.
- Load and unload trucks/trailers safely and efficiently, including outside carriers.
- Work flexible hours, including 10-12 hour shifts, and work at heights if necessary.
- Handle stock weighing from 1 lb. to 50 lbs. multiple times.
- Ensure proper shipment staging and loading.
- Maintain warehouse cleanliness and order.
- Process outbound freight and oversee stock storage.
- Use warehouse sheets to pick orders and load trailers.
- Verify shipment accuracy against paperwork.
- Complete forklift inspections daily.
- Report damages, incidents, or safety issues immediately.
- Spot trailers and maintain dock area access.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Additional Responsibilities
- Work with urgency, accountability, and minimal supervision.
- Read, write, and understand English.
- Pay attention to detail and quality.
- Communicate clearly, resolve problems, and work well with others.
- Be flexible to work overtime and cover shifts.
- Experience with forklifts, pallets, and cross-docking preferred.
Qualifications
- 3-6 months forklift experience with sit-down forklifts and EPJs.
- Good work history.
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Warehousing certifications are a plus.
