Shift Schedule:

  • A Shift: Monday - Thursday, 5:00 am - 3:30 pm
  • B Shift: Tuesday - Friday, 5:00 am - 3:30 pm
  • 2nd Shift: Monday - Friday, 4:00 pm - 12:30 am

Job Purpose: To operate forklifts safely and efficiently, handle freight properly, maintain warehouse order, load/unload trucks, and ensure accurate shipment staging and storage, following all safety policies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist Warehouse Manager to ensure efficient operations.
  • Operate sit-down forklifts and/or Walkie Rider equipment.
  • Use computers and handheld RF devices.
  • Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently.
  • Work flexible hours, including 10-12 hour shifts, and work at heights when necessary.
  • Handle stock weighing from 1 lb. to 50 lbs., multiple times.
  • Ensure shipments are staged and loaded correctly.
  • Maintain warehouse cleanliness and order.
  • Process outbound cross-dock freight as needed.
  • Store stock properly and move products within the warehouse.
  • Pick customer orders using forklifts and load trailers.
  • Verify shipment accuracy against paperwork.
  • Complete all documentation accurately.
  • Operate forklifts following OSHA and company safety policies, including seatbelt use.
  • Perform daily forklift inspections.
  • Handle customer products carefully and orderly.
  • Check deliveries for damage and poor packing; report issues promptly.
  • Report accidents or damages immediately.
  • Spot trailers for yard organization.
  • Keep dock doors accessible and clear of debris or snow.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Work with urgency, accountability, and limited supervision.
  • Understand computer and RF equipment use.
  • Read, write, and understand English.
  • Pay attention to detail and quality.
  • Communicate clearly, resolve problems, and work well with others.
  • Be flexible with overtime and shift coverage.
  • Have experience with sit-down forklifts/EPJs, pallet building, and cross-docking freight.
  • Work efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Qualifications:

  • 3-6 months of forklift experience with sit-down forklifts and Electric Pallet Jacks.

Education and/or Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
